WHAT IS TAKE48?
TAKE48 is a 48-hour filmmaking challenge run as a feature event during the Sydney Underground Film Festival. The challenge presents an exciting and fast-paced way to test your filmmaking abilities whilst battling against the clock over a jam-packed 48 hours!

WHY?
Why not? There's a good reason that TAKE48 quickly became an crowd favourite at SUFF - It's fun, it's whacky and it gets your creative juices flowing at full speed. Not only is it a great way to push your filmmaking abilities, but you'll also walk away with a completed film for your portfolio. Many TAKE48 participants use it as an opportunity to network with the other filmmakers too!
Oh yeah...did we mention prizes? There's always a stack of awesome prizes up for grabs too!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The challenge is simple: Script, shoot and edit a film within a 48-hour window. Prior to the start of the challenge, a theme is announced - The theme includes a mystery item and line of dialogue, plus, a mystery theme unique to each year (e.g. genre, sound, camera move, edit technique etc) . All films must include the theme in order to qualify for screening and prizes. With only 48 hours to write, shoot and edit, participants are challenged to change the way they think about filmmaking!

The best films are then chosen and curated by the TAKE48 and SUFF teams for screening at the TAKE48 screening session during the Sydney Underground Film Festival!
